No, as it will add up overheads if we start managing assets too.

CMDB maintains and controls the items crucial for service continuity, whereas assets might not be that important to maintaining that rigor.

No, as it would defy the purpose of CMDB to manage items impacting critical services and assets may not impact services at large.
